Are you intelligent or not?

We all think we are smart but don't know to what extent,do we need to know or the better question is do we want to know how smart we are compared to others. If one is interested in measuring their intelligence there  are plenty of ways to do so such as the intelligence quotient, scholastic aptitude and standardized test they are trusted and recommended to the world .But many people argue that these tests  are not for everyone, everyone is different so people should be tested on a variety of things to know what their good at, one of those people is Howard Gardner.

Howard has a different theory which is that people have multiple intelligences and psychometricians aka "intelligence testers" have been focused on one part of intelligence and he argues that there about 8 more intelligences that people have depending on various aspects of their lives and this can be seen in the research that he has done and it is not focused on one part of intelligence. The other intelligences are musical , bodily-kinaesthetic ,mathematical-logical , verbal linguistic , visual-spatial , interpersonal , intrapersonal and naturalist intelligence.

I took the multiple intelligence survey as a homework and as to test where my intelligence lie,out of all the 8 intelligences. And the result is that I'm logical, intrapersonal and kinaesthetic and knowing myself that was no surprise there but what shocked me was I was not visually intelligent as I thought cause I'm someone who is intrigued by visual images and remember things easily if I ever saw them.I guess I have to embrace my intelligences and improve on the ones I'm lacking on.

Howard says that everyone has an intelligence guess  our job is to find them and make them work for us and benefit from them and teach others to do the same. This also means we are all intelligent so there's  no less or better than the other in the world .
