Walk cycle
Animation has taught me that animators must be observant of human behavior and most importantly human movement from how a person turns his/her head to how they punch something ,animators are supposed to understand speed of every action cause that alone might determine how something is conveyed on the screen e.g a slow moving punch and a fast moving punch mean different emotions and are going to get different results.
To make a moving cartoon is a little complicated because there are so many factors involved that before I never even notice like when a person is walking the hips must go up and down ,shoulders move opposite the hips so that the body can balance it's self from falling and that the whole body moves up and down from head to feet . The whole body must move in arcs if not than that body is probably a robots body . This just takes me back to the fundamentals of the principles of animating.
In this particular task I used arcs, pose to pose and slow in and slow out. These really helped to make my animation look like it's moving correctly but I still battle a few things in my animation and they are volume change and I haven't mastered the principles of animation and most of the time I'm not using them properly .But the I'm still in the learning process so I hope by the end of this course I would have mastered them.
Very interesting
